Therapies

We offer a number of therapeutic and gentle procedures to get you back on your feet and enjoying life again!

Chiropractic Adjustments
Chiropractic Adjustments Gentle contacts and manipulations are performed in specific sequence to ease the bones of the spine, back into proper position. This realigning of the spine relieves obstruction of the nerve system, returns the body to a natural state and alleviates pain. In our office, we use the Pro-Adjustor, which uses technology developed by NASA to gently vibrate the joints back into normal motion without pain. Not only do our patients love this method because of its gentle effectiveness, they also love to refer their friends who were otherwise "too afraid" to try chiropractic.

Acupuncture
The goal of acupuncture is to activate the natural, self-healing abilities of the body to restore health and promote wellness. AcupunctureAn acupuncture treatment consists of the shallow insertion of extremely fine, sterile and disposable needles into a small number of selected points on the surface of the body. The needles may cause sensations such as dullness or tingling; but are virtually painless. Most patients find acupuncture a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Usually, the needles are left in place from one to twenty minutes. A treatment plan may consist of 10-12 treatments, depending on the condition and health goals of the patient.

Neuromuscular Massage
Neuromuscular Massage Muscles strained from injury or overuse may cause swelling, soreness and decreased circulation of the soft tissue. This can compress nerve endings resulting in painful spasms. Using soft tissue manipulation techniques, our therapists apply concentrated pressure on trigger points of pain and passive stretching of specific muscles. Once circulation is restored, you should experience increased strength and flexibility of the injured area.

Rehabilitative Exercise
Rehabilitative Exercise Many patients with joint injuries of the ankle, knee, shoulder and lower back require additional therapy to achieve full recovery. Rehabilitative exercise is used to strengthen the joint, lessen the risk of re-injury and aide in the proper healing of the injured area.

Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy focuses on restoring function, improving mobility and relieving pain associated with temporary or long-term physical disabilities. Physiotherapy usually includes prescribed exercises, electrical stimulation, hot or cold compresses, ultrasound, traction and/or deep-tissue massage to relieve pain. Patients undergoing physiotherapy receive continuous re-examinations and therapy is adjusted according to their progress.
